vaillant thermostat wiring

Hi All

Vaillant ecotech system installation (+ tank for Domestic Hot Water), single zone. Current thermostat is a wireless salus, with a drayton programmer.

Myvaillant connect will be installed to program heating times via phone app, directly on ebus connection so no wiring headache for this particular module.

However the salus thermostat will be replaced by a vaillant sensoroom thermostat, also using the eBus connection. I did not find the wiring diagram on the vaillant sensoroom technical doc (link from vaillant website here).

Both the salus receiver (small white square box in the photo) and the drayton programmer (white rectangular box with yellow display in the photo) will go, and be replaced by the vaillant sensoroom thermostat.

Can you confirm if the vaillant sensoroom thermostat can be wired using this honeywell wiring box (image attached), or is a vaillant wiring centre (e.g. vr66) required?

Yes you will need a vaillant control centre (vr66 vr71 ect)
