Vailliant boiler, Nest not turning off heating (Ed.)

My Vailliant boiler (EcoTEC plus 937) which has a nest thermostat attached id not turning off the central heating!? We have turned off the Nest thermostat but the boiler continues to heat the radiators?

Could be a failing nest heatlink. Do you have a Vaillant timeclock?

No we don’t have a timeclock. Do you know how we could check the heat link?

Yes, with a multimeter or 2 pole voltage indicator

Have you checked the 'predictive heating' protocol? Ours was set in the (default) on position. It would come on at all hours.

Is there a call for heat at the boiler? Diverter valve could be passing and as this is a storage combi, when it's trying to top up the tank it is just heating the radiators.
