Can anyone help me. I have a Valour Inspire 800 hole in the wall gas fire with remote control 3 years old. I turn the fire on it clicks pilot light comes on, fire comes on then all cuts out. Sometimes fire starts pilot light comes on then fails and the remote flashes a number 4. Sometimes it doesn’t works sometimes after several tries it does. I tend to try and leave pilot light on so I don’t have to do the whole turning on process and have it fail. I ave been in touch with valour and it’s nighh on impossible to get through to anyone at the moment. Does anyone recognise this issue? I am at my wits end, the fire was so expensive I cannot afford to replace it. Also the inside upper part of the fire has a lot of debris melted and falling into the fire.

Sound like one or 2 issues, but you’ll need a gas safe registered engineer. Forum rules forbid us advising on gas burning appliances.

That is what is termed "appliance showing signs of distress" turn it off and dont use it till it is determined why it is over heating, could be dangerous
