Ventilated Dry Ridge System - Ventilated Ridge Tile/s Required?

Really quick question, i have just put up a ventilated dry ridge on my extension and was wondering if i needed to put up some ventilated ridge tiles? I havent because i didnt think it was necessary but just been thinking about it.
Is this needed?

I just used normal clay 'half moon' ridge tiles with my ventilated ridge kit... if this helps.

If you are using a dry vent ridge kit then you just use the standard ridge tile as per your roof.
I assume you don't have a feature ridge ?
