Villeroy Boch WC

Can anyone tell me where a "Doughnut Ring" would be fitted on a Villeroy Boch cistern.

I had a compact Omnia Close coupled WC fitted and it is leaking between the pan and cistern and have been told that it should have had a Doughnut ring fitted.

Thanks, don't quite know why my plumber didn't put one on in the first place.

Its a bit expensive for a washer!

I expect the installer did fit it originally but perhaps its been distroted.

I dont see why a standard donought washer would not fit though.

Now why a little silicone sealant applied all around the joint should not work either if both surfaces are clean and dry.
