The environmental benefits of VAA going bust are difficult to argue, given there is capacity and demand for the routes and they are half owned by Delta. VAA are a Zombie, haven't made money for years. Govt should avoid bailing them out.

If some one wants to know how much UK tax it pays they need to look at directors and then what companies they are involved in to get at profit etc.
It's also easy to see what Branson is directly involved in. He'll be getting a directors fee. Finding out who owns what share wise in the holding company - not sure how to do that but would assume he owns lots.
Him and his Island and where he is registered - no different to a number of people who make a lot of money. There are lots many similar to Rees-Mogg and that type is just money really rather than jobs. Then there is the types like Amazon. That type may be able to arrange to sell into the UK at a loss. I've always wondered if this is one of the reasons for VAT as imports were bound to increase all over.
