Hi there,

I've got a Vokera Compact SE28 combi boiler and I'm not getting any hot water from it. When I turn on the hot tap, the boiler doesn't even try and ignite. The flow rate is also very low compared to normal.

The central heating seems to be working fine (thankfully!).

I've had a wee nosey around the site here, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to start (short of phoning for an engineer to come out and fix it for me).

Cheers!

The boiler has a flow sensor which has to operate to bring the boiler on. That is designed to operate at about 2.5 li/min.

If the flow has seriously reduced then thats usually because the DHW heat exchanger tube has become scaled up. However, Glazglow has very solf water.

A slight possibility is that the flow limiter has failed and is restricting the flow to below what is needed to start the boiler. In most cases it can be removed.

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. Discovered that the problem was slightly more serious - a complete lack of water pressure through the entire stair due to a burst water main!

Cheers!
