Can anyone help.
i have a old vokera linea730.

it seams to me that the pump is not moving the water around. it gos down to 60 degrees then heater comes on and sends it to 80 degrees. but the radiators are still cold. even if i just have one radiator on and all others locked of it still dos not cercilate the wate. the pump is running but im not sure if this is a fault on pump.

when i got it new it would cercilate the water and temp would go down to 30 degrees before heater coming on.

Any ideas please.

Thank you

Have you removed the pump head to see if the eye of the impeller is full of dirt?

Tony

Thanks for reply tony.

I took out the four allen screws holding the pump and the impeller run freely. i did not see any dirt. i also took out the braided pipe running from pump and that was clear too.

Last night i shut down all rads except one and this took a long time to heat up.

they are cast iron radiators. and maybe the volume required is too much for boiler. still it shuold cerculate the water.

i have a manual if you have any other ideas ill have another look this weekend.

Many Thanks

Kevin

The volume of the system is irrelevant! It should still circulate the water!

When the pump head was out you should have done the finger test to see if the torque is correct.

Can you measure the value of the pump capacitor?

If you put a screwdriver into the slot then start it should take three fingers to stop it rotating.

Tony

Thanks again tony.

ill have a look and see if i can stop it. if i dont reply you will know ive lost all my fingers trying to stop it.

ill be back in next day.

regards
Kevin
