VW Golf 1.6 TDI 2009

Dear All

Have had the engine management light come and a scan shows the following fault:-

1 Fault Found

14355 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor B1 S3

P242A 00 (172) - Malfunction.

Does anyone know what this is and if so where on earth is this Sensor? looked around on the internet but still none the wiser! Does anyone know what its part number should be?

I have 2 which but not sure which one it be?

Dear All

Problem has been sorted now, found the sensor on the exhaust manifold near DPF, easy 20 Minute job to change sensor. Many thanks to all.
