I’ve been trying to wire two 1mm solid core wires to a Wago 224-112, but when I push in the second wire, it doesn’t stay in, it just comes out with little force
I had the impression that the spring is shared between the two wires

The specs show it can accept between 1mm and 2.5mm cable, however the connector itself only has 2.5mm printed on it

I wanted to use these connectors as they are the ones suitable for the light wagobox, but I ended up using these

The length of the exposed copper core is crucial.

Is your wire straight?
Any kinks in it may prevent the clamp holding it down correctly.

it may sound like teaching granny to suck eggs but are you using it the right way round, I think the "hole" for stranded holds the cable slightly differently to the other end

yes, I was holding it the right way; I just tried with another piece of cable and it seems fine now
Maybe I didn’t strip the wire long enough
