I think the Euro semi final run was Wales exceeding its expectation... In reality, a country of 3m people will always have limits on itself. Same with the rugby, we have a a very good, but very finite pool to fish in- neither code scores enough goals/tries to be really competitive. Hence we hang on to Bale and Alun-wyn Jones far to long cos there' no-one else. So, where we are in the world rankings (are we about 18th?) seem a fair reflection. So it goes with Ireland x2 and Scotland.
