AS BAS points out you may have got the COLOURS mixed up,
As it is the links L to L and N TO N between the socket and spur it will still be correct polarity.
But you should really alter it to THE CORRECT standard colours
BROWN/LIVE
BLUE / NEUTRAL
G/Y / EARTH
HOPEFULLY you knew this and just typed it out wrong.
