We have received a frameless wall mirror as a gift. The mirror already has brackets attached, which appear to have been glued on (and taped while glue sets?); see images.

The mirror weighs 7kg. My question is: do these brackets look like they will safely hold the mirror to the wall?

I wouldn't be happy to rely on those brackets if the mirror is a sheet of glass with a coating of mirroring material and the brackets are glued to the silvering and not the glass.

Are you sure of the weight, 15lb + seems rather a lot for what looks like a small mirror.
