Wall not perfect

Hi All
I have stripped off the wallpaper in my bedroom which has left a previously pained wall but its a bit imperfect, is there a product i can put on that will help prime the wall and also level out the wall a bit before i paint over it with emulsion.

We need a slightly better description of "bit imperfect" I'm afraid. This could go from filling, to patch skimming, to skimming the whole wall.
