Having a wardrobe delivered and built on Tuesday.

Mrs Secure went to see it in the showroom and apparently it doesn't have a cut-out for skirting at the back

What would you do?

Remove the piece of skirting or leave it and have a small gap behind the robe?

A few years ago I went to move a socket form inside a recently fitted wardrobe in a brand new house, it was a bit awkward and I had to lean on the wall to gain access, unknown to me I had scratched my arm on a bramble by the back door and left a big bloodstain on the paintwork :(

The skirting makes sure there's a gap behind the furniture so no condensation attacks the walls.
However, if you want the wardrobe to the wall, mark where it will go and cut a piece of the skirting.
Easiest way is by using a multitool, otherwise, a tenon saw with some sort of metal sheet protecting the wall will do.

Leave the skirting there, have the gap and affix the wardrobe to the wall at the top with the brackets that should be supplied with it.

Thanks everyone. I think I will leave the skirt in place.

Get Keitai around to fit it :ROFLMAO:
Hes right.

This one was where the wardrobe was too tall but for some reason they werent keen on him cutting it down.

To be fair,
That wasn't a cutout for the Skirting.
That was a cutout for the Coving.
