I’ve got fitted wardrobes to build in an existing attic conversion where the pitch of the roof will start sloping down about 4 inches behind the wardrobe doors. As such, I’m tempted to support the clothes rail and door rails by fixing timber across the available rafters.
I figure this is a bad idea though as the roof members are designed to support the roof, not a bunch of other stuff. I’ve got a floating floor running underneath so I don’t really want to fix too much to the floor either. Any suggestions?
Many thanks

i wouldnt worry your timber are supporting several tons off roof so a couple off 20kg hanging rails wont make any difference
