Warm Flat Roof and Cold Pitched Roof Join - Confused

I’m after some advice please. I’ve seen a Reddit user with my exact query, but they don’t look like they ever got a response.

Basically I’m having some building work done but have been left confused by the join between the warm and cold roof.

I have borrowed a sketch of what the situation looks like, which shows the gap between the insulation and the warm and cold roofs. Is this right, and if not, what should I do about it? Really appreciate any advice that anyone can offer

If you bring your flat roof insulation beyond your pitch roof rafters, you can then fill any gaps with loft insulation.

Thanks Catlad, so just extend the PIR as far as I can, then fill the gap indicated with as much rockwool insulation as I can?
