Some of the speeds that they enter junctions with lots of other traffic doing different things appears to be suicidal. The bulk of car/bike/truck compilations on Youtube are from dashcams in Russia. Seeing the driving standards in Russia makes it obvious why dashcams are so popular.

I bought a cheap dashcam a while back. It's at least some proof of who was to blame if anything does happen. The "close one every time you go out" thing applies as much to the car as it did to the bike! I don't notice it nearly as much if I go "up country".

I've been using a dashcam for years now.
I do agree that the standard of driving (and riding) today is getting worse and worse. Why? Perhaps something to do with the general 'dumbing down' started some years ago by Labour and which is beginning to show in many aspects of life these days.
