Evolving in a lab is extraordinarily expensive and time consuming. No self respecting Bond villan would waste that much time, much easier to splice the RNA directly.

came from animals maybe , but all the news i read suggests it’s from a lab and released via animals. austrailian scientists reckon theres a one in a billion chance that it’s naturally occured in animals as it’s perfectly adapted from the outset to bind to human cells, which is not how viruses work.

Notice the name of the virus - it's very similar to the previous SARS.
The other point of course is that if the virus didn't bind to cells it wouldn't achieve anything. That's how viruses essentially work.
