Some people see it as the USA. N.America is somewhat different. Are Canadians Americans for instance.

No and you can't have the vaguest idea whey I posted what I did. I wont be posting further details either as on this general subject some one replied that obviously didn't realise the complications with his particular view on why something relating to the planet happens. I can summarise though. The establishment in the science area often finishes up with a particular view and may also ignore things that might also come into it. I don't see any problem with mentioning other factors that might relate. Then we can make our own mind up. Big mistake using the word swindle though and I don't think that really relates to the editor I mentioned.
