Washers

Hi All
This might sound like a daft question so i hope you can help me out.
I have just bought a waste trap to fit to a new shower tray, question do the washer on the waste go underneath the shower tray or on top, or should i use two washers, one on top and one underneath, thanking you in advance.

Hi it came with 1 washer.

Thats unusual but depending on shape I would fit that on top of the tray under the chrome fitting.That way you make a good seal between the tray and the drain fitting.I always smear a bit of silicone/LSX on the washer for added sealing.
