Washing machine connection point

I'm replumbing my kitchen.

What's the best position ( 1-bottom, 2-middle or 3-top )for the cold and hot water supply for the washing machine ?

I will be buying a different washing machine soon so I need to put the water supply at a position that the new washing machine fit too.

if its new it will be cold fill

top gives you more slack to pull the machine out should you need

50mm hole, drilled 50mm under worktop, this will allow both hoses to go through and will keep waste pipe high enough
