hi, i know i have passes my 2382 but i need some advice/assurance on the practical. Is it acceptable to run a washing machine on the kitchen rin via plug and socket, the socket being located under the work surface where the washing machine will fit in. my worry is that it cannot be easily isolated if there is a fault as it would be neccessary to slide the washing machine out. It may be borderline but is it essentially compliant, thanks

Yes, it is acceptable to do it this way as the machine is free standing. If it was to be fixed in place then an additional means of isolating it will be necessary.
Personally I prefer to see a swich above the surface controlling the socket below for this like of instance, allows it to be turned off if it should go wrong.

your very kind, spark 123, I have had it all plastered now but got the jitters. I will put in a fused spur next time, thanks again
