women live longer than men, so shouldnt men retire earlier than women?

I said as much in my home this morning. Both my wife and eldest daughter say they didn't want an equal retirement age. And my daughter still want doors opened for her and for us to give our seats too.

I seem to remember reading that quite a few women gave up work at 58/59 to look after parents or grandchildren having saved enough to eke it out until they got their pensions and then found out they weren’t getting it at 60 years old. By then, it was too late to go back to work - not many employers want to take on a 60 year old employee. Many of those had to live in relative poverty until they were eligible for a state pension. I can see why they are aggrieved.

Easy to see how Starmer is polling as the least popular prime minister in 40 years but this lot are beyond belief, they've lied through their teeth to get elected, then s**t on every pledge they've made and are now steering the country into recession. Unbelievable.

Yes I was listening to that today, where because of the number of council mergers they intend delaying a lot of local elections by a year, seemingly the majority are in areas where Reform were predicted to do well.

Can you imagine the outcry on here if The Donald attempted something similar?
