Hi guys,
If ok can i pick your brains again please.
Work has started and not really a good first day. We are trying to locate the manhole in the garden which will be hooked into the waste drainage of the extension.
It turns out every house in our row of 6 but 1 has built over theirs. Mine is likely under a slab but worst case under the water feature!
I am always thinking worst case so what if they just aren't able to locate it?
The soil stack in the house at the moment is going to be too fiddly to connect to and was due to be removed and put on the outside wall. (ugly looking).
We have a gully next to the wall taking the bath/basin waste from the bathroom upstairs and kitchen downstairs. Hopefully they have traced the position from there today.
The pipe running through the garden is nearly 4 1/2 ft deep based on work done further up the run and we are lower on that run. They didn't go deep enough to expose this yesterday.
Apparently the pipe is possibly pitch fibre which isn't great. We haven't had any issues with it touch wood.
What are the options here? can you connect to the gully? (assuming this doesn't go into a soak away which it shouldn't)
Thanks again for all your help.
