Hi
I'm wanting to repaint the interior woodwork gloss white using water based paint as the oil based i used a couple of years ago went yellowish (after a few weeks) and is looking drab.

I understand using WB over OB paint isn't straight forward and i've heard about Zinsser coverstain so is this the easiest option?

For the process do i =
Wash paintwork
apply Zinsser
wait a few hours then paint water based gloss white (maybe 2 coats)?

or do i have to sand down OB paintwork first?

Thanks

won't be a problem, give it a good sand back first then WB undercoat and top coat

yes I painted water based white on top of oil based like chapters said I rubbed down oil based well then I applied usual water based undercover then gloss and it's really good...i love water based white I did my internal doors 22 years ago and still look perfect
