i have just fitted new facias and sofits, the top of the facia is slightly higher
than the osb board.(no tiles or battens on yet)how do i keep the water running off the roof rather than it pooling on the felt?
or will this be solved when the tiles go on?

From the fact that you state tiles I assume that it is a pitched roof rather than a flat one. The tiles keep the water out not the felt so you shouldn't have a problem, the fascia needs to be higher than the sarking board (I see you're in Glasgow so of course scottish practice observed) to support the bottom of the tiles / slates
