Hi

Moved house last August, there a concrete path around the house and not much drainage, the water collects in 3 locations.

I was considering coring a 4 inch hole through the concrete and putting a drain cover over the hole, I presume the water is draining through cracks etc but should I be concerned about forcing excess water underground, it’s unlikely I’m going to be able to drill a hole deep enough to the backfill with gravel - like a soak away.

Thanks

Fit an Aco drain.
Drilling holes ect never works. You need drainage

How far below the DPC is the concrete?

Do you think it was laid without a fall for water to run away from the house, or has it settled?

Are any of the wet patches close to downpipes, gullies or drains?

It runs away from the house and pools on the path but eventually drys up - presume soaks somewhere

I guess the answer will be expose the down pipe drain and fit an acro?

We have a Septic tank and rain water doesn’t go into the tank so presume it soaks away underground…
