Pricing to wire a new build property & it specifys that the central heating system utilises a gas combi with full zone control and weather compensators.

They want one stat on gnd floor & one on 1st floor.

Im not familiar with weather compensators - Can anyone give me some advice or recommend any wc's

Thanks

Weather compensation is dependant on the boiler, so unless you're aware of what boiler the customer is going to fit, you won't be able to install all of the controls.

It may also be worth asking on the plumbing forum, as I have a feeling that it's more efficient to run weather compensation without conventional thermostats, the idea being that the controls will continuously modulate the boiler's output to match the heat loss of the building. You could still use a time clock with the appropriate number of channels to zone the system.

Thanks for the replies. Wont know what boiler is being fitted until all the quotes are in.

Been looking on a few of the boiler manufacturers sites & got some good info.

Cheers
