Weatherproof cable connector

Hi there,

I'm trying to put a new light above my front door, there is a light there already but the existing cable is too short for the new light.

I basically need to buy a weatherproof, slim (to fit behind the new light) connector to attach an extra length of cable to.

Any ideas? Or will I need something more substantial?

Can you replace the wire with a longer piece, or put a junction box inside the premises somewhere accessable?

Hmmm, not easy to change cable as it must be well bedded into interior wall. It basically just appears from above the front door!
Fitting a new junction is a little beyond my capabilities I'm afraid.

It is a grey 2 core flat cable
