Has any one worked out a better way of stopping the cut edge from fraying. I've tried turning it underneath and that's OK until I move the membrane; ducktape lasts a season but the edge then has to be recut.
You could buy a cheap Hotwire from amazon - ideally with a temperature control because mine doesn't have one and is probably too hot.
make a V block to match so the hot wire has a locator.
Even a circular saw cut in a bit of hardwood?
If you wanted to be flash you could make a hinged thing out of two similar sized bits of timber, with a spring to hold it slightly open. Insert the fabric, press against the spring, count to 5..10 and release?
