bOBBO85 not bad 250 a day so far this week considering you spent half of yesterday and today on here posting.. Also can you give a more in detail breakdown of how you got a worcester 24i 7 rads 6 trvs room stat ,clock the usual 2 bundles of 15, 1 of 22 fittings ,inhibitor,filling loop etc etc for £1100 inc.. Rads would have to be tiny

Two suppliers I use do a WB 24/28i junior standard flue, 6 rads upto 30,000 btu, 6 trvs and 7 ls valves, mech clock and stat for £1150.

If they through the copper in aswell it would be happy days :LOL:

I got a 24 i junior and 6 rads , trv's,l/s and 30 m 15m&15m 22m for a grand.rads were 2 36x24 k2,1 48x24 k1,2 40x24 k1 + 1 24x24 k1 and i had to get a towel rail rad that ive had for 3 months along with another 4 more.i had to buy another 1 1/2 bundles of 15mm £65 and ive always got boxes of fitting's,solder , flux and things like capping ive always got in stock,so thats it.this week ive done 5 repairs upto now just got back from a call i got at 6.30 pm,a pump and add inhibator.only 5 mins away and charged £170 theres £110,so with a worcester fan i done today,i got 3 fans for £90 ,a while back so i got £190 so today for 2 hours work £270,not bad,i assure you as well im not anyone else.Why do you slag people who can get things cheaper or done quicker,has it ever occured to you ,maybe your not upto much as gas fitters

I used 8 lengths of 22mm,gas took 3 lengths,flow and return 5 ,from boiler to tees that split to feed 3 rads and 4 rads ran 22m ,tee for rad,tee for drops then 15mm ,then the back 3 rad,drops,then 15 mm,so now clock with boiler ,loop with boiler,inhibator £9 quid,roomstat £15 quid so another £24. let me go and get the invoice and you will see ,i never expect to spend more than £1.100 or £1.200 on a new installation,you could do it far cheaper,a biasi condenser combi £400

In your breakdown you said 5 lengths of 22 pipe not 8.
So where do you get copper at 43 quid a bundle

I got 5 lenths for £40.and got 3 bundles of a lad for £100.today i got 5 bundles of 15mm for £100 and 2 pumps,3 mzv ,2 3 port and 1 2 port for £75 and last month i got 1000,15m elbows,coupling and 500 tees,with 250 st elbows for £130 and 400 of the above in 22 m £70 and 20 rolls of solder,20 large powerflo flux,and mix of reducers,conex and speedfit for another £100 inc 2 22m pipe slices,2 15mm p/slices,wirewool,and clips.I dont buy copper unless ive ran out and need it urgently.I will buy what they bring me,because the times they bring boilers is worth buying somethings you know you wont use,but when they ring and say 5 28i junior's,£300 each,flues and timers

Its a very cheap shop,that they have,direct from the suppliers,so there 100%

That is a very comprehensive breakdown of prices . As i expected :rolleyes: Take it this place is out in a field and you picked the materials up in your 4x4 as there sounds like there was a fair bit of bulls#it about

When I worked for ******* ********** we had a lot of stock shrinkage from the depots

bobbo = zimmers = alan m?

By the way I'm so good my bathroom has taken 2 years and counting... :oops:

Centrica is one of the utility companies I haven't worked for.

the depots I was thinking of had lots of cable reels and stuff. Not so much pipes. But probably the same sort of light-fingered people.

I've heard that in certain Northern towns you can buy combi boilers in near-new condition quite cheaply.

O.k, then here it goes,(2) 36x24 k2= £48 x 2 = £96.00., (1)48x24 k1 =£37 .,(2) 40x24 k1=£31x2=£62.00., (1) 24x24 k1= £19.00.= £214 £214. I got my boiler for £ 635.00,inc flue,timer and loop. I have spent £ 849.00. With having to buy trv's and l/shield's at £7.00 x 6 = £42 and 2 more for towel rail rad £3.00 = £45 + 849= £894. I got 10 r/stat's today for £75.00 rts 8 drayton's , there ok,i had to but one last week for £12 and copper 15mm and 22mm kept me around the 1.100 mark .the rads are vogel & noot, not like stelly's but still ok,nice finish on them,trv's the bulldog valve's trv and l/s in a box

Well, I've just taken out an old servowarm, master rad plus one other s/warm rad, so two new rads plus trvs, Powerflushed, put in a GW 18Sx plus RF stat, bricked up, used another Corgi bloke 7am-6pm.

Any takers on a decent price in an expensive area?
