Well done wind

poor Spline doesnt know difference between debt and growth

If I paid you £10 a day to brush my teeth, and you paid me £10 a day to brush your teeth, instead of us using that money to pay our mortgages, that would be celebrated, by a Labour or Conservative government as growth and we would be homeless. Debt is the reason everything is so expensive, no government will tackle it. We are 2.8 trillions in debt and the interest payments on this was 105 billion last year. In the recent party conferences no party mentioned this. Lots more spending was promised though.

Average annual energy costs:

France - £485
Belgium - £520
Spain - £495
Gernamy - £550
Denmark - £600
Holland - £470
Austria - £465
Norway - £460
Finland - £405
Poland - £150
Britain - £2,325

We must have the world's most expensive electricity, as well as the most expensive everything else; highest taxes etc. That's due to our communism.
More typical ill thought out lies from gullible fool SPLIAR.....

What was claimed
Average energy costs in the UK are €2,960, €650 in France and Belgium, €620 in Spain, €558 in Germany and Denmark, €546 in Holland, €545 in Austria and €543 in Norway, €476 in Finland and €174 in Poland.
Our verdict
These are not average energy costs in each country. They are actually the wholesale prices of electricity per megawatt hour for a single hour in December 2022.

Our civilisation was founded on fossil fuels.

SPLINE is repeatedly posting misinformation.

Over the last 15 years, taxes have gone up but public services have gone down.

Wages for ordinary citizens have stagnated whilst the wealthiest have got much richer.

SPLINE where do you think the problem lies?

Is there something wrong with Spline?

Why does he keep posting something he picked up on the net that has been shown to be false?

Thankfully we still have CCGT or all the lights would be out

I think he meant to say that thankfully we have alternatives to gas power knowing that one day it will run out, but found it too difficult to articulate.

No I didn’t.

I’m merely pointing out that CCGT will remain part of the electricity generation for some time yet. Some people have a miss placed view that we won’t need it soon but the UK is in no position not to use CCGT
