Wind power doing well

JohnD
Last week wind produced approx 22%.
Last year 31%
Great way of producing electricity but it is not reliable

Over 37% produced by renewables in the past year, which is only going to increase.

No 1 person can change it all

But if everybody does a little it makes a massive difference.

Just do a little
I've already said on here, I live alone, I only buy stuff when I need to, I don't use energy needlessly (e.g. leaving lights on, boiling a full kettle for one cup etc) and I hardly use my car these days due to WFH. I'm not completely sure how much more the tree huggers would have me do to save the planet? Maybe buy an EV or give my vehicle up altogether and use the sh1tty public transport system? Leave my lights off and use candles?

Yep there are some on here who like to talk about man made climate change CO2 whilst contributing to the CO2 they claim is the problem more than any other member with countless unnecessary trips to go skiing.
Doing things that create CO2 does not preclude people from discussing man made climate change.

achieving net zero requires governments to act, to legislate.

We can do a tiny bit ourselves but collective action requires rules.

Not meaningless , go on GB grid live
See for yourself
At least that's a start. Do you have a link?

Last week wind produced approx 22%.
22% of what?
Last year 31%
Of what? Compared to what other years?
Great way of producing electricity but it is not reliable
The grid input waxes and wanes. It matters not that one input is more reliable than another. Just having them (rather than not) is adventitious to the grid. No one is saying (yet) that we must rely on one source of electricity production.

So you are doing a little.

Why are you objecting to it so much ?

Man made global warming is a scam
What do you think the climate scientists have missed? How have they got it so wrong but you know the right answer? Your silence speaks volumes.

No, I'm not intentionally doing a little, I'm just living my life the way I want to live it.

What I would object to is anyone suggesting 'ah but you can do a little more' especially when we still have countries pumping out nasty stuff like there's no tomorrow. Cue people saying something about there definitely being no tomorrow unless we all start living in caves again ...

Which, of course, no one has ever said, because it isn't necessary.
