As a former tradesman myself, I know the importance of keeping the customer happy and keeping your reputation up. Lately I phoned up a fencer, who said he would get back to me and still waiting. Phoned up a electrician, who won’t answer his phone. The tiler was easier to contact and did turn up, but he spent more time smoking on the job, and on his phone, when I told him to crack on with the job, he got rather shirty. i know tradesmen are busy people, but it just seems like they want the money but don’t want to put the effort in. It doesn’t work like that

Perhaps you come across as a bothersome customer? Was the tiler on a day rate or job rate?
