What Are You Having For Lunch This Year?

Christmas can be a terrible time for those who have lost loved ones and raising a glass to absent friends says nothing of the pain held inside.

All the best Terry at this tough time.

So, so, true. I lost a daughter in August, a lovely sister in law in October and a dear friend last week. Got up at five this morning, my usual time, went to switch on the tree lights but saw a photo of my daughter, picked it up and spent the next hour in tears. The pain of losing her is indescribable.

Terry, I 'm gutted to hear your news.

St Anne's are brilliant. We make a regular donation and I'm thinking of volunteering there if I can.

Edited: I divulged too much info that is part of ongoing legal action, sorry.

You should do some volunteer work(if you are well enough)as they are 100% charity/donation/grant funded. You can do as many or as few hours as you feel able to do, from serving in the cafeteria to tidying the grounds to reception desk. It really is a great facility.

We really are lucky to have it.

Just returned home from a day at the hospice visiting my mum.
The staff arranged a Christmas dinner for patients and family that wanted to spend what is a last Christmas together.

Very emotional day for all concerned but, brilliant.

All the staff are fabulous, a big thank you to St Ann's Hospice.
What a great post and so honest.

I can feel your pain fella. I lost my brother to Leukemia 13 years ago ( I was his bone marrow doner ) and I still think of him every day.
