What do you need a 9” grinder for?

Killed my 5” grinder today cutting sandstone slabs.

That's why you need a 9" grinder.

You need a nine inch grinder to cut a hole in a wall to make a doorway between rooms. Although in this day and age with the rubbish that builders are throwing up you could do that with a blunt kitchen knife.

Can you actually do that with a 9incher? Surely the depth of cut is still nowhere near a bricks width
