I was thinking of drilling a hole and then filling it with no nails or some kind of strong adhesive and the pushing the scres into said glue...
Thoughts?
For this stuff to work properly though, it's important to make sure the hole is dust-free. I use compressed air, there is a manual pump available for sale too, or you might get away with a vacuum cleaner. Once set, it's hard as rock. You can either set a threaded rod in it, or drill a hole for a self-tapper afterwards

Almost any of the regular plasterboard fittings should work for what you're trying to do.
Your comment that I quoted above about the fittings not gripping the foam makes me wonder if you've done something weird, like fitting the insulated plasterboard back-to-front, or something.
I would probably use something like this: http://www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-hollow-wall-anchors-m6-x-52mm-20-pack/68410
Drill through the plasterboard and well into the insulation. Then maybe try to excavate some of the insulation immediately behind the plasterboard for the fitting to expand into. Really I would expect that the fitting would crush the insulation, but removing some of it can't do any harm. I'd probably use something crazy like a bent nail in a drill. Don't damage the plasterboard. Then fit the fitting as usual, ideally with a setting tool.
GRIPIT plasterboard fixings will work with the storage heater and any other already mentioned fixing for the blind.
GRIPIT also has an under cutting tool available, if doing a lot of these fixings is useful.
Have used these without the undercutting tool on insulated plasterboard but to ensure a first time fix we sharpen the turn out wings (file down till sharp) so its cuts in first time, never failed.
I only have two holes available for the storage heater. The feet take the weight. I tried these but they just pulled out. They just can't get a firm fix in the foam.
