What have you been doing today?

TRying to get ink out of the waste ink box on a Canon printer. Canon Service department required - ie bin the printer.
I stripped a length of wire to use as a tube to suck the ink out. That ink doesn't taste of anything but it's damned hard to get out of your mouth.

Yes, that would be much clearer. If I have understood it, you should actually have paid £2?
Yep. £2. Who would try and dodge a £2 fee when you’re taking a couple of hours on a meal costing £70 plus? Using the app, I could have topped it up from my table if I thought I had to pay. I thought I was doing the right thing by covering myself until 7.00. Oh well….

It clearly says at the top (under "Parking Charges") that "Tariffs apply Monday to Sunday"
It does say that in small writing, yes and the sign is in bloody darkness at 6.40pm. The parking system signage in Havering is well known to be confusing at best. Hundreds of complaints about it. I don’t care if I lose and pay double, I’m appealing anyway.

Top tip:

Just bung your money in.

It'll spit it back out if you're in a free period.

At least, it does in Lichfield

I’ve put my back out a few times in the past doing the most stupid of things. Absolutely excruciating pain. Couldn’t move, frightened to sneeze, walking like you’ve sh*t yourself and for two nights I had to sleep flat on my back on the floor with my legs up on the sofa. I sympathise with you Harry.

Thanks! I keep getting the impression, with more mobility, that I'm on the mend, then it bites me yet again. I was unable to sleep last night, feeling a bit sick, bloated, and suffering reflux - it felt like the Barretts Syndrome, which they rushed me into hospital with, a few years ago - so I got up to have a tablet, and slept with a bucket ready, on the settee, then managed to fall asleep at last, curled up on there.

I paid for the 'new' scooter unseen, and I had arranged to collect it today, but the seller has agreed to delay collection until next Saturday. Bought and paid via ebay - they now charge the buyer for the sale, which I wasn't aware of, if it's a collect item, so they add an amount to the seller's charge.

While I'm laid up, the little jobs are frustratingly, just stacking up. The job I started, fitting tubes to the tractor tyres, which started the back injury, the final wheel is sat in my garage, waiting for the tyre to be refitted. Little trailer is in front of garage, waiting for me to remove all four side panels, so the scooter will sit and lash onto it, sitting on timbers, because it's wheel-base, is longer than the trailer deck.

What tablets did they give you. Did they help. Were they anti inflammatories. Some of those can cause an upset stomach.

If I had intended not to pay, I (a) wouldn’t have booked on the app to get me past the 7.00 deadline or (b) would have parked in the road you have to cross when leaving the car park! As you can see in the photo, it would have been free at 6.40pm. You can see the other sign in the photo too - that’s how close it was. I might even chance appealing in the grounds of it wasn’t intentional as well as confusing signs.

My understanding is, once you appeal, the original charge is on hold, until reviewed. They cannot add on charges for late payment, so nothing to lose by appealing.

Done a few small electrical jobs this morning, cut the grass then took the better half out for a curry :-)

They prescribed 100, Zapain 30mg codeine phosphate/paracetamol, taken 1 or 2, upto 4 times a day. I've taken 1, 3 times per day. I kept to low levels, because they seemed to be making me quite whoozy. I do seem to be getting better on average, but it comes and goes. Whether they are helping or not, I'm not sure, I expected a more instant relief from them, like I got from the gas/air, the ambulance crew gave me.
