We're going over our friends this afternoon to see the pups. We have first pick of the litter but we are hoping that one of them chooses us like Susie did the last time. Fingers crossed.

Oh, and I’ve promised Mrs Mottie that I won’t cry this time but I bet I do!

I been watching, rewatching lots of 9/11 videos etc....RIP all those that lost their lives 25 years ago today.

One year ago to the day, I discovered I had sepsis from a minor carpal tunnel op. I was told I might lose my right arm. Spent 4 weeks in hospital, and they had to use "the last" antibiotics. Arm now has a 6 inch scar, but it works. Hand is weak and painful, and won't improve now.
And one year ago to the day, my wife had a funny pain. She thought she must have pulled a muscle, she went to a physio. She wouldn't see a doc until it was too late. She died suddenly of a heart attack 5 weeks later, a week before my mother.
Horrible time.

Went to the BBC gardeners world autumn fair at Audley End house. Bought a trolley to load up with plants then realised we are going to have to re-do the garden and remove some (dangerous to dog) plants until the new pup gets out of her digging and plant destroying phase. Nice place though. Been there years ago to see Katherine Jenkins sing.

Went over the allotment and harvested my pumpkin crop. The grandkids will be happy with that lot to play with on Halloween.

Just had to 'Check in' with the Hyundai dealer for my first service next week. I’ve done just over 8,000 miles in it. I was given the option of booking a few extra services while it’s there: Air conditioning odour removal and freshener treatment - £40. Air conditioning Re-Gas and performance checkover- £175. Brake cleaning and anti-corrosion protection - £99. Brake inspection, cleaning and adjustment service - £199. Fùck off!
