What have you been doing today?

Today.....Gas checks.Mending central heating.Chatted to a woman who's husband died recently.....

I'm using buses, tube and trains more lately. One of those will be a benefit, are they free ? Will have to wait for it though.

Well, they are free but only if you live in a London Borough. Free travel at any time on trains, tube, busses and trams anywhere in London. I use mine regularly for work but I’ve decided not to from now on because you get some right sneezers and coughers standing next to you with no sneeze/cough etiquette. From tomorrow I’m going in on my motorcycle. As I work primarily in education, that might be my last days work for some time.

I was on Atorvastatin for a number of years and started getting cramps in my legs more often. Spoke to the pharmacist in Sainsburys one day when I went to collect my prescription and he refused to dispense them. Told me I should stop immediately and notify my GP what was happening. Told GP and he said I should not take them anymore. Instead just eat sensibly to reduce cholesterol. Now eat home cooked meals most days and have 'greenery' with most meals each week.
Cholesterol has been within limits for over 6 years now and kidney specialist only needs to see me every 12 months now as she thinks I am as fit as a 40 year old. :-)

No students today. Looked after/ special needs kids so they will still be attending school after today but they've decided to stay at home and 'self isolate' with just the internet and a box of tissues for company  so it's an early day for me. Taking home a few boxes of disposable gloves and a few masks I have found in my stores. Paracetamol in stock in the corner shop opposite so bought two packs and I think I'll take a little stroll down Green Street market before I go home (wearing mask and gloves of course) and get some fresh veg.

Some of the sh1tholes I worked in would make you shudder (well, maybe not, you've probably worked in similar). I'm pretty sure all the exposure I had to filth and germs has built up my immune system.
Only to filth and germs though. I don’t think any of us has built up an immunity to CV.

Just took a drive up to the pharmacy to pick up my Atorvastatin prescription and they’re only letting one in at a time. People are lined up, 2 metres apart, on the pavement half the way down the road so I came home. I think I’ll watch the final episodes of Formula 1 drive to survive on Netflix and try again later. Fantastic programme - anyone else watching it?
