What have you been doing today?

Collecting money off coupons for incontinence knickers! We hold the keys for quite a few of our neighbours houses and a couple of them are away on holiday this week and they ask me to pick their mail up and place it inside so that any potential burglars don't see mail building up behind their glass doors. We get loads of bloody leaflets delivered down our street and when these come along, Mrs Mottie insists that I buy them with our weekly shop, hand in the money off coupons which equates to a free packet. I then put them into the food bank bin in Sainsburys for distribution to those in need. Apart from our own, I got three more coupons so I’ll probably have to split our weekly shop into 4 as you can only change them one at a time.

Sweating my nuts off changing outside lights
Mate that is easy:)

It's easier than changing ceiling lights and worse when the screws fall when trying to tighten it while having pain in the shoulder from holding the fitting up and marking where it will be secured.

It was easy I was done for 2 o'clock but I was hot and sweaty and moaning to myself

Our green bin lid, became absentee, the last time it was emptied, so earlier in the week, I emailed the council's bin department, asking if they could drop a replacement lid off, and the fixing pegs, and I would be more than happy to fit it. They replied today, saying to put the bin out, and they will drop off a brand new one. What a waste of council/public resources.

When we didn’t renew our green bin a few years ago and asked them to take it away, they said to just keep it in case we ever wanted to restart it up again. We did, this year. 83 bloody quid.

More embarrassment for me at the checkout this morning. Did my usual shop, picked up a box of the incontinent knickers and I also noticed that this time that it also had a voucher for some men’s pads (dribble cups?) so I picked a box of them up too. You can’t scan the vouchers yourself - you have to get a member of staff to do it and they have to check you've actually bought the item first. She checked my shopping bill on the screen then told me that the knickers weren’t in the promotion. I told her they were as I’d done it loads of times before. She then pointed out that this offer was different from previous times as they were for Tena products, and not 'Always' products. She held the men’s dribble cups and said "these are okay though". Of course I felt all eyes on me so I said take the knickers off the bill and I’ll run back and get the Tena ones. Of course, they didn’t have any of them left so it then looked like I’d try to scam them by getting money off on the wrong product. Oh the shame!

Our daughter and her husband have recently moved from a flat in Winchmore Hill to a house near to the Forty Hall estate in Enfield. A sporty couple and they often used to cycle to work in the city on racing bikes. Since the move, it’s just that little bit too far but they do have some nice cycle paths and tracks near the new house but not suitable for racing bikes. We're going over our daughters tomorrow to help out on their allotment and have a bit of tea and we had a couple of bikes, one mountain bike, one hybrid that we are never going to use again that I had stored round in my mums shed so I’ve been round there today, removing the wheels on both so that they can be carried in the A3 when we go over there tomorrow. We will also be offloading a stirrup pump, a rechargeable vacuum cleaner and our old loft ladder. It’s good when you can offload your junk onto your kids instead of the other way round. :ROFLMAO:

Unless it’s completely empty in which case you have other problems, it’ll just need a top up so should be more than enough. Go by the pressure gauge. Engine running, A/c on lowest temperature, highest fan speed, give the can a good shake and most important, hold it upside down. The last R134 kit I bought, I topped up my car and two others. My R1234 kit for the A3 got me two top ups. Both of those kits came with the connecting hose and gauge. If I ever need any more gas, I’ll just need to buy just the gas in future

The kit arrived a few minutes ago. The gauge showed in the centre, between white too low - get an engineer, and green, so I went ahead with the process, at 28C ambient, 45 to 50PSI charge. The needle behaved oddly, rose to 45, then fell back to the almost the white, then went up to 50PSI and remained there - guess that was the trinary/ ac clutch kicking in?

Checking the air vent, on 'Low', it showed -2C at first, then settled later at +3C. I'm just letting it run for ten minutes now, the instruction suggest the sealer fluid, needs to be well circulated to work.
