What have you been doing today?

Been out for a 6 mile walk in the northern Lake District. We didn’t encounter anyone else on our way round

I love these places and you had a nice day for it

I have often looked at your Name "Murdochat" and wondered if it had anything to do with the Murdo's ? I'm guess with this picture it may well do ?. And yes mine is very much to do with the Munro's I had recently completed when joining the site in 2010 (so i presume I have done all the Murdos)

So are you busy with the Murdo's ? and what was your last one ?

A bit more decorating round my mums. Had new carpets fitted in the bedrooms today. That the bedrooms all done now, hall done, kitchen painted - just got to fit a new twin socket outlet and give it a thorough clean, bathroom painted and just waiting for a couple of transformers for two of the lamps and that’s that done. Lounge will be next then the outside work to be done - painting the front, tidying up the garden, dumping a shed load of rubbish, clearing out the gutters and cleaning the Upvc facia's. Hopefully we'll have it finished before Christmas and it can go in the market in January.

Had our daughter and her two rescue kittens (brother and sister) move in temporarily today for up to a couple of weeks as she's having some building work done at her house in North London. Her husband is staying at his mums round the corner so he can call in on a daily basis to check in progress.

Here’s George and Penny. They have to stay in as they are not familiar with the area but she tells us they are are guaranteed to have a shït the minute you sit down to eat!

Just back from the main street, where there is a Coop. The Coop has been closed a couple of days, due to an electrical fire. Piled up outside, are a great pile of parcels, addressed to the Coop, delivered by Evri. You gotta wonder what these people employed by EVRI, have between their ears. I wonder if any will be left there, by tomorrow?

Sounds about right. Evri used to be called My Hermes, or My Herpes as a nickname. Because they were about as popular as a dose. Atrocious service. Would use anyone but.

Nothing to do with Munro’s

Got some more rubbish after cleaning my mums sheds bit I’m fed up with running it to the recycling centre in my Fiesta. I must have been there a dozen times so far. Still got this lot to shift:

I put the pictures on Facebook asking for recommendations and people were contacting me every minute! I said I want to see their carriers licence to make sure that it’s not fly-tipped. I had quotes as high as £350. I’ve settled on one for £100 (a few people recommended him). He's sent me a copy of his registration and he will be giving me a receipt. Coming tomorrow between 8.00 and 12.00.

Bloody kittens are full of mischief this morning. They are into/onto everything. We've practically moved all ornaments and plants into one of the bedrooms and still they are finding things.

I was a bit wary of using a waste disposal company as you hear a lot about fly tipping these days but they were as good as their word. The driver phoned me to let me know they were on their way, it took him an hour and a half to load it all (he said they usually work in pairs but he was on his own today), he provided me with the correct waste transfer note afterwards and, unusually, he would not take cash! He gave me the company bank details and asked me to pay by bank transfer, which I did.

Straightening out my thoughts today

What i can eliminate from my thought processes as these things happen automatically now , mindfulness etc.

Things I need to remain conscious of during my day such as how i interact with others , discretion and not talking loudly

And deciding what I need to focus on as my most important goals
