What have you been doing today?

Same in my house...
And in our house where I grew up...
There's a Mr Nobody in every house where there are kids...

Washed the car. I think it’s the second wash it’s had from new (Sept 1st). Mrs Mottie thinks it’s the first. Anyway, the car had a ceramic coating on the paintwork from new and the dirt/grime just fell off of it. Didn’t need waxing either. Even if it was its second wash, that’s not bad for a couple of months driving in the sort of weather we’ve had and the muddy car parks we go to when walking with friends - the salesman said the coating stops a lot of the dirt sticking to the paintwork and I must say I agree with that.

Been out on callouts most of the day, lots of money earned for my hols, last night tonight before I hand over the golden goblet to the next lucky winner. Going to Newcastle tomorrow with a few of the lads for a major pizz up. Looking for the liveliest bars we can find to do some serious drinking.

We met up with friends today for a walk and one of them had recently (2 weeks ago) bought a brand new Audi Q5. As we were talking, one of us noticed that she had a crease going from the window rubber to the swage line on the drivers door, in line with the door mirror. The paintwork was untouched though. She hadn’t noticed it. Looking under the mirror, there was no bottom cover on it. She was baffled how it had happened. We said it could have been like that from new but after two weeks, she would have difficulty proving it. Anyway, she’s just told us that she took a few photos of it in the showroom when she picked it up from the dealers and there in the photos you can see the crease! She's going back tomorrow to have it out with them. I still can’t work out though how the panel could get creased with no damage to the paintwork.
