It’s a launderette downstairs, so we are going to get it going again. Apparently it was very busy

I didn't know they still existed.

Went to the ballet! The Nutcracker. Liked the orchestra, liked the actual dancing but didn’t have a clue what was going on. We left at the interval and came home. I likened it to the Bayeux Tapestry - a story, but this time told in dance to music. If they’d have given us an audio guide like they do at Bayeux, I might have understood it. We gave it a go but it’s not for us.

Don't let @pete01 con you into him sending you his washing for a service wash, for one he wouldn't pay and ask for more time, he other his clothes would ruin your machines and then the last reason is he would be saying you have ripped his string vests and claiming from you. He is banned from most launderettes in Birmingham through this.

I agree, Lena loves going to the Ballet and I get dragged along and fall asleep as I find them totally boring, god knows what she sees in them.

OMG, that was one time and the vest was in perfect condition when I sent it apart from a few gravy stains but thats normal.

It's even worse than opera.

I enjoy some of the big musicals e.g. Phantom, Les Mis and Miss Saigon. Phantom undoubtedly my fave. Having said that I'm not fussed for most of the newer musicals. I've tried two or three operas and wouldn't be fussed to go back. It's great to hear the one or two well known arias being belted out, however the other 90% of an opera, not really for me.

Don't think I've been to the ballet. Each to their own but nah.
