Changed estate agents last week, we are selling my mums bungalow - the original ones were getting a bit slapdash - no feedback on visits, heating left on and door not locked properly. New one starts next week and today they sent a professional photographer round. I was supervising of course. ;) Took him an hour and a half! Rearranging things, getting the best shots, making a video, sending up a drone for aerial shots. Let’s see how this lot do.

In some ways, it was good that the reaction was so quick and extreme in that it was easy to identify the cause.

For the first time in many months, today I managed to take a leisurely bath, without the sense of panic/anxiety creeping in, and me being in a desperate hurry to get back out, and always an unsteady struggle getting out. I cannot explain just how terrible I have felt, during the worsening episodes, and if someone described suffering them, I would find them very hard to believe. I've suffered them for 11 months now, with them continually rearing their head, at the very slightest provocation, becoming more frequent, and always ready to strike.

During these 11 months, I have numerous times invited help from the medical professionals, doctors, 101, and even spent a night in A&E, without them finding a cause, or a fix, until last Tuesday. On Tuesday, unable to cope, I made an emergency appointment with the specialist kidney team, at the hospital, or rather I asked Av to - I was unable to speak due to an episode. They couldn't find a direct cause, but luckily invited a knowledgeable doctor to take a look, which just happened to trigger an mild episode, which he recognised straight-away, and changed my usual meds.

Since taking the revised meds - no more episodes.

Great news. Terrible news that's it's taken so long for a diagnosis, but it looks like the only way is up now. (y)

Mrs Mottie told me to sort out all the clothes and shoes in my wardrobe today and put them in three piles. Ones I’m keeping, ones for the charity shop, and ones that are to be chucked. I guess the ones that the moths have had a munch on are to be chucked. Just like when you lose a spanner, it’s always a Snap-On one, why do moths only eat the good clothes? One of my most comfortable sweaters. :evil: Why?

…aaand 4 years later and we've given up on battling the bloody moths. They've had a right munch on our wool carpet too. That’s being changed for an Excellon Polypropylene one. Look what they've done under the bed, the little bar stewards!

Of course, I’m decorating the room but I’ve had a rollertastrophe. Not one but both of my paint rollers snapped on me. I’ve had them over 30 years too. 6 new heads, 4 new handles…….. I’ve had to dash out and buy this bad boy. No more broom handles sellotaped to a roller for me anymore!

Finished the walls and ceiling. Was sweating for a while. Juuust about had enough paint left for the odd touch up. Polished pebble AKA light battleship grey!

Just the woodwork to do tomorrow and I’m all done! :mrgreen:

@Mottie

Polished pebble was Dulux colour of the year a while back I think.
Still the top seller especially in the cheap DIY paint.
Worth keeping a drop for touch up because the testers aren't the same paint, and sometimes a shade off.

What I've been doing...
I'm putting a patio down which has taken a year so far and I'm determined to finish this year.
Clarks 300mm slab ressesed covers don't fit the plastic osma 315mm manholes.
Oh I love osma! for the years of trouble they given me with odd sized stuff
