Yes - it may have been. However, for other people here (such as myself) might not "see" it as a joke.

As it happens, we are! Anyway, that's not high. We get used to the heat. We normally keep knocking it up by half a degree throughout the day and it’s normally on 23.5 by the time we go to bed.
We are naturists indoors.
