What have you bought today?

A new washing machine, I always vowed to get another secondhand one but it seems secondhand appliance shops are now few and far between since the last time I bought one which was about 15 years ago.

Some larger charity shops, sell fridges, freezers, driers, washing machines etc., new but with slight damage, at some good prices. Always worth a look, and who cares about the odd dent, if it goes in a utility room?

Now, that's interesting. St Ewe, small village, a pub, about 5 miles from me. My Great Niece and her husband have a sheep farm just a mile up the road. Anyway, apparently there's a massive 'eggery' up there, ship eggs all over the country, they also import eggs from all over the country, Wales being a big supplier. Not that that matters, but that's the local story.

£239.95 of a dentists time to just repair a cracked composite filling.

2.5 litres of emulsion. 51 quid and that was on a special offer!

My car insurance renewal quote has just come through and it has dropped by 37% since last year.

Very strange. It went up quite a bit last year, but everyone's seemed to.

A new DAB/FM/Bluetooth radio, for the summerhouse BBQ area. The old one's power connection became rather dodgy, I tried to get in it, to investigate, but could find no way in - no screws, nothing. there were seams in the plastic case, but no way I could find to prise it apart. Maybe it was glued together?

A hose pipe sprayer, and some hay fever tablets....was dying :-(

A hose pipe sprayer,

Lidl, Parkside?

and some hay fever tablets....was dying :(

Me too, and the dog I think also..

I've noticed it more and more, as I've got older - eyes streaming, completely bunged up nose on a morning, which I've put down to hay fever, but never confirmed it.

The dog, this year also seems to be suffering from it.
