What insoles?

Hi folks,
I now work standing on my feet on a concrete floor 9 hrs a day, its hard on my feet - especially the heels.

So I got a pair of V12 Bison boots, much better but I'm still not walking on marshmallows.

So what insoles would those that are also on their feet all day recommend?
Any experience of the V12 insoles (not the thin one that comes with the boots) or the Dewalt ones?

look at Orthotics, which can give arch support and cushion the heel.

Your chemist may sell some in made of a clear gel. They may have an embedded blue cushion under the heel. The gel can be washed and is slightly tacky, which helps it stay in place in the shoe. Podiatrists also sell them, possibly at higher prices. If necessary get your first set from someone who knows how to fit them, then future pairs buy direct.

The ones with a slight cup round the heel I find give better support. It prevents excessive sideways rolling of the foot or turning of the ankle. I find a 3/4 foot length is sufficient.

If your problem is just in the heels, you can get a shorter one, just the heel cup. If your boots already have a high arch you may not want the arch support.

You should take this up with your employer this is a h&s issue.
Are you standing in one place?
Put down some rubber matting, anti fatigue mats.

Having been there 2 weeks I haven't even got a toolkit yet, still using my own tools. (a list has been handed in).
Rubber mats have been asked for but these things take time, we are expecting to reorganize the whole area so hopefully will happen.
However until then I'm making my feet more comfortable
