Hi All,

I am fitting a glass based gas hob to a laminate worktop. With the hob there is a foam 2-sided sticky roll, however i would like to know if this is sufficient or if and what else I should seal it with eg a silicone sealer.

The last hob i installed ( a few years ago now), I used a blue sticky blue tack like strips substance, but i can not find this anywhere, does anyone know what this is and where i can get it?

Thanks

I would follow the manufacurers instructions. That way if it cracks due to expansion it will be under warrantee. If you have used somthing not in the MI's it will not.

Best just using teh foam with glass ones, if you ever need to get it out ant sticky adhesives will risk damage to teh glass.
